OLDSMOBILE CLUB OF SOUTHEASTERN MICHIGAN A site for Oldsmobile enthusiasts. |
Welcome to the Motor City Rockets website. We are the first Chartered Chapter of the Oldsmobile Club of America, founded on June 18, 1977. As a member of the Motor City Rockets Oldsmobile Club you will meet people who share the same interest in all models of Oldsmobiles and the automotive industry as a whole. The Motor City Rockets enjoy monthly activities year-round. Our activities may include driving our Oldsmobiles to special events while others are purely fun and social gatherings. Look around the site, enjoy the Oldsmobiles, and if you are interested, click the "Join us" button below for membership information.
Thank you for visiting our site today.
At the 8th Annual Gathering of the Oldsmobiles at Baker's of Milford, Steve Ball did a videotaping of the cars that were there. He put it up on his YouTube channel, "Cars and Chrome". You can enjoy it by following this link: Cars and Chrome. If you want to skip right to the Oldsmobiles, they are from 21:47 to 31:32 and then again from 37:25 to 38:44. Check out the rest of his channel too! |
On Friday, September 20th, 2024, nine members of the Motor City Rockets, part of the Oldsmobile Club of America, volunteered to drive their convertibles (not all Oldsmobiles😉) in the Howell Homecoming Parade. Five of the Motor City Rockets Women, aka the wives, cheered and took pics from the sidelines. It was a great night with great friends and the football team won 48-17. |

The R.E. Olds Chapter of the Oldsmobile Club of America were kind enough to present this appreciation plaque to us at our annual meeting in December, 2023. If you have the time, please try to volunteer to work a shift at the Oldsmobile Homecoming, June 15th, 2024. It is fun to do, and it makes for a great day for everyone. Contact your Webmaster (78starfire@gmail.com) if you are interested and I will put you in touch with the Homecoming Volunteer Coordinator Judy. |
These articles of interest will move to the menu page called "Past Home Page Stories" periodically. |
